Key rules
Periodic OHS training for sales staff – what you should know:
- Frequency – periodic training for sales staff is held every 5 years,
- Duration – a minimum of 8 teaching hours (45 minutes each), as a course, seminar or guided self-study,
- A separate occupational group – sales assistants, cashiers and sales representatives are not classed among manual, engineering-technical, office or OHS-service posts,
- Exam – every periodic training ends with an exam verifying the knowledge gained.
This is because of different exposure to harmful, onerous or dangerous factors and a different scope of OHS responsibility. That is why we design the programme individually – around the actual duties and hazards of a given role.
