Legal basis
The obligation to provide OHS training for medical staff stems from the law:
- Art. 2373 of the Labour Code – an employee may not be allowed to work without the required OHS training,
- Regulation of the Minister of Economy and Labour of 27 July 2004 on OHS training – form and programme of periodic training,
- Periodic training every 5 years – for staff in medical and office/administrative roles,
- Framework programme (min. 8 hours) – the scope of periodic training for medical staff.
Periodic training for medical staff is valid for 5 years. The first periodic training must be completed within 12 months of starting work. Every training ends with a knowledge test.
