Legal basis
The obligation to provide OHS training for education staff stems from the law:
- Art. 2373 of the Labour Code – an employee may not be allowed to work without the required OHS training,
- Art. 2374 of the Labour Code – the duty to familiarise employees with OHS rules and regulations,
- Regulation of the Ministry of Education on health and safety in public and non-public schools and institutions,
- Regulation of the Ministry of Economy and Labour (2004) on OHS training – the scope and frequency of periodic training.
Periodic training for teachers and management staff is held every 5 years, and every 6 years for administrative and office staff. The first periodic training takes place within 12 months of starting work.
