Legal basis

The office OSH audit is based on labour law:

  • Art. 207 of the Labour Code – the employer is responsible for the state of health and safety at work,
  • Art. 226 of the Labour Code – the obligation to assess and document occupational risk,
  • Regulation on general OHS provisions – requirements for workrooms and workstations,
  • Regulation on work with display screens – ergonomic requirements for office workstations.

An office OSH audit is a voluntary but recommended way of verifying working conditions. It is advisable to carry it out at least once a year, as well as before a PIP inspection or after changes in the office layout.

Frequently asked questions

An OHS audit is a detailed assessment of working conditions in terms of health and safety. In an office it helps identify and eliminate hazards, increase employee safety and comfort, and minimise the risk of accidents and health problems.

The most common are computer-workstation ergonomics (unsuitable chairs, poorly positioned monitors), lighting problems, inappropriate thermal and technical conditions, and non-compliance with current regulations.

Audits should be carried out regularly, at least once a year by an external auditor. The frequency depends on the nature of the work, the number of employees, working conditions and the company internal policies.

The duration of the audit is agreed with the client each time. It depends mainly on the size of the organisation and the area covered by the audit.

The cost depends on the scope and duration of the audit (incl. whether it covers OHS documentation), the location and any special requirements, e.g. after an inspection by external authorities. We prepare an individual quote.

You receive an audit report indicating areas to improve along with recommendations. We also provide ongoing contact and the option of phone and e-mail consultations.
