Workplace ADR/RID Training

Workplace ADR/RID Training

For everyone who handles dangerous goods – not only drivers. Mandatory ADR/RID training (Art. 14 of the Polish Act) for warehouse, packing, documentation and supervision staff – online or at your company.

Workplace ADR/RID training

Why our training?

  • Protection against penalties – lack of training is direct grounds for a fine from the ITD (Road Transport Inspection), for the company and the person responsible.
  • Programme tailored to your company – not a generic template, but training built around your materials and roles.
  • Online from PLN 500 per group – one flat rate for the whole team, with no venue or travel logistics costs.
  • Certified ADR/RID adviser – led by a specialist with practical, hands-on industry knowledge.
  • Full documentation – proof of training ready to present during an inspection.
  • Online or on-site – choose the format that suits your company size and capabilities.

Why invest in ADR/RID training?

Dangerous goods storage (ADR)

How does it work?

01. Discussion and needs analysis

02. Tailoring the programme

We build training tailored to your company reality – practical, concrete and ready to apply.

03. Training

Online (approx. 1.5–2 h for the whole group) or on-site at your company, led by an ADR/RID adviser.

04. Documentation

We issue proof of completed training, ready to present during an ITD inspection.

Legal basis

Workplace ADR/RID training is required by law:

  • Art. 14 of the Act of 19 August 2011 on the carriage of dangerous goods (Journal of Laws 2024, item 643),
  • Section 1.3 ADR – scope of function-specific training for persons involved in carriage,
  • Road transport (ADR) and rail transport (RID) – the obligation covers both modes,
  • Annex 1 to the Act – table of violations and the fines imposed by the ITD.

Workplace ADR/RID training is mandatory for employees who handle dangerous goods – not only drivers, but also warehouse staff, packers, labellers and people preparing documentation. The ADR/RID regulations are amended every two years, so the training should be repeated regularly.

Frequently asked questions

No. Workplace training (Section 1.3 ADR) applies to people involved in the carriage of dangerous goods, but does not cover drivers of vehicles that must display orange plates. Such drivers must complete an ADR course at an authorised centre and pass a state exam.

The Act does not set a fixed validity period, but requires an update on any significant change: new dangerous materials, a change in the employee duties, or a change in the ADR/RID rules (amended every two years). In practice we recommend training every 2 years.

Yes. The rules do not mandate a specific format for workplace training – only that it is carried out and documented. Online training led by a certified ADR/RID adviser, with proof of participation, meets the legal requirements just as on-site training does.

ITD inspectors can impose a fine under Annex 1 to the Act (a table of violations and sanctions). Penalties apply to both the employer and the driver, and repeated violations may end up in court. Inspections cover not only vehicles but also company premises and warehouses.

All employees who handle dangerous goods: drivers, warehouse staff (loading/unloading), people preparing transport documentation, packing and labelling shipments, and supervising carriage.

Online training is PLN 500 for the whole group (approx. 1.5–2 h). On-site training from PLN 800 + travel costs, quoted individually after agreeing the location and scope.
