EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

Online OHS Training

Are you interested in online OHS training?

When we think about OHS, the first association that often comes to mind is training in occupational safety and health conducted shortly after signing a contract but before starting tasks resulting from it. Undoubtedly, periodic OHS training is crucial for raising awareness among employees about potential hazards associated with their positions and for dealing with any inconveniences that may arise, such as fires or accidents.

According to the labor code (Article 94, point 4), the employer is obliged to conduct training in this field, and it is within their responsibility to provide their staff with safe working conditions. In addition to technical aspects, knowledge of OHS principles, which is imparted during periodic and initial training sessions, plays a crucial role.

  • identification, analysis, and assessment of hazards posed by harmful, burdensome, and dangerous factors, as well as the risk associated with these hazards,
  • rules of conduct in the event of an accident at work and in situations of danger (e.g., fire, emergencies), including rules for providing first aid in the event of an accident,

ONLINE INITIAL OHS TRAINING

Initial OHS training in general instruction is carried out before new employees, students undergoing student internships at the employer, and students undergoing practical vocational training are allowed to work.

ONLINE OHS TRAINING – IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW

In connection with the state of the epidemic, initial OHS training can also be conducted online. This results from Article 12e of the Act of March 2, 2020, on special solutions related to preventing, counteracting, and combating COVID-19, other infectious diseases, and crises caused by them:

“In the period of the state of epidemic threat or epidemic, it is allowed to conduct initial training in the field of occupational health and safety and service entirely through electronic communication means, with the exception of on-the-job training:

1) of an employee employed in a manual position;

2) of an employee employed in a position exposed to the action of hazardous factors;

3) of an employee transferred to a position referred to in points 1 and 2;

4) of a student undergoing practical vocational training and a student undergoing student internships.”

Online initial OHS training is conducted through a platform for conducting live meetings and events. The only requirement is access to a computer and the Internet by the training participant.

Upon receiving information about initial OHS training, we send a link to the meeting to the specified email address.

During the training, issues in line with the framework program of general instruction are presented (Annex No. 1 to the regulation of the Minister of Economy and Labour of July 27, 2004, on training in the field of occupational health and safety).
