CONDUCTED FIRST AID TRAININGS CONSIST OF 3 MODULES:
I. THEORETICAL PART
In this part of the training in an interesting and accessible way we provide the most important information on situations in which first aid given by witnesses is often decisive for life or death of the victim.
- Motivation for providing first aid
- Legal aspects of first aid
- Safety of yourself, the victim and the scene,
- Assessment of basic vital signs
- Assessment of normal breathing
- Reporting an emergency to emergency numbers
- Cardiorespiratory resuscitation of an adult
- Life-threatening conditions. management of: burns, heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, among others.
II. PRACTICAL PART – EXERCISES
Each participant goes through the following training stations:
“Resuscitation with AED – what to do when a person is not breathing”.
At this station we practice:
- checking for the presence of normal breathing and what to do if the person is not breathing;
- resuscitation and the international scheme which will allow to find oneself in a traumatic situation;
- the safe use of an AED.
“Choking and Choking, Management of an Unconscious Person”.
Practice of repositioning a person in the side position and upper airway manoeuvres in case of choking (on special equipment for this purpose).
“Life-threatening conditions”
We show how to deal with a person with shortness of breath, chest pain, epilepsy (epilepsy) attack, with symptoms of hypoglycemia (diabetes), a person who has fainted. We indicate when to call an ambulance.
III. PRACTICAL PART – SIMULATIONS OF ACCIDENTS AT WORK
Simulations take place during the practical part of the training, so as to best reflect the reality of a real accident. Our many years of experience in the ambulance service allow us to maintain the realism of a simulated accident at a given workplace while maintaining a positive atmosphere during training.
